Leicester star linked with transfer move if other deal done

In fact, his form ever since from his return from the ACL injury has been overshadowed by the impressive Timothy Castagne. CBS add that a move for Ricardo would likely be in the summer seeing as he currently has a broken leg. However, they also report that Atletico are monitoring Lille’s Zeki Celik as a replacement for Trippier, a move that would happen in January and thus seems more realistic.
So, whilst the Foxes most likely won’t be losing Ricardo to Atletico Madrid, it does ask the question of if Ricardo’s future will be at Leicester. With Castagne’s form, James Justin’s imminent return from injury, Daniel Amartey’s ability to cover right back and, of course, the emerging talent of Vontae Daley-Campbell, Leicester are looking comfortable in their right fullbacks.
With all of Brendan Rodger’s talk of Leicester not having the budget to compete with the Big 6 in the transfer window, generating money from player sales is key. Perhaps selling Ricardo in the future would allow for a new right winger, or a new midfielder.
The Foxes signed Ricardo in 2018 for £19m from FC Porto, I’d imagine that they would make their money back on him if they were to sell him in the near future. His transfer is certainly one to consider.
