How will Leicester City lineup versus Tottenham Hotspur?
There are growing murmurs that James Justin’s availability is becoming increasingly prevalent. The initial rumour — albeit for the earlier fixture against Burnley — was that he’d feature in a squad role, as the game had arrived too early in his rehabilitation process. With only four extra “rest” days, I don’t see him starting the game. Although, if he was, I’d imagine he’d replace one of the full-backs — due to his workload there, rather than at CB instead of Choudhury.
Into midfield, I assume that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s return will see the 23-year-old feature in a midfield pivot alongside Youri Tielemans. I wouldn’t mind Lewis Brunt having another game in central-midfield, I thought the academy graduate was terrific versus Watford and showcased some excellent assets that are pivotal in top-level midfielders. But, with the calibre of opposition, I anticipate Dewsbury-Hall is favoured.
In his current form, James Maddison is irreplaceable and will definitely feature — almost exclusively in his preferred No.10 role. His inclusion does give Brunt an additional chance to play, as there isn’t a reliance on creativity in the depth of the pitch. I’m not suggesting this isn’t within Brunt’s wheelhouse, merely that having the pressure to create in midfield without a talismanic figure, such as Maddison, can be a difficult burden to manage.
