A leaked Leicester City starting line-up for their contest versus Liverpool at Anfield contains a few surprises from Brendan Rodgers.

On Thursday the Foxes matchday squad go to Anfield looking to recover form following an awful drubbing by Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup. Leicester were outdone in every department by a club in the lower Championship division, which increases pressure on manager Rodgers.

A growing number of LCFC supporters are becoming tired of Rodgers’ methods in general. Results overall this season are not to his high standards at Leicester, either. A smaller number of the faithful have been ‘Rodgers out’ for a good while now.

Although the Northern Irishman claims potential has possibly been reached and that there is a ceiling for the side, the Premier League triumph along with his own FA Cup trophy contradict the statement that the team has overachieved. Adding to Rodgers’ woes,  and to the Blue Army’s dismay, is the possibility that indiscretions took place off the pitch, too. Though accusations of partying and late drinking at inappropriate times have not been proven or admitted.

If anything is to change by the Liverpool game then it may be of fairly radical design, with the boss of the King Power outfit potentially making some controversial decisions.

Above is a tweet from Leicester fan, fantasy football expert and Foxes podcast host, Sam Martin. Martin appears to have inside information as to the LCFC starting eleven prior to matches getting underway. He posts the apparent selections on Twitter. I must admit, I have seen many of his leaked XIs and haven’t noticed a mistake yet.

If the estimation is correct, Rodgers has made some surely contentious choices. Unlike omitting the underperforming Caglar Soyuncu, dropping ‘starman’ Youri Tielemans as well as Harvey Barnes will be tougher to justify.
