Leicester City talisman Jamie Vardy might be available to return from injury for this match, giving the Foxes a much-needed boost.

Currently, it feels as though Jamie Vardy could come into the Leicester side and make a positive impact. Particularly in the Premier League; thankfully it seems the striker could possibly make his comeback in a short while.

And that is no slight toward Patson Daka, who appears to potentially be the successor to Vardy. That is if anybody is suitable of being the heir to the former England international. Daka has as much of a chance as anyone – especially as he has been signed in that capacity. Which almost renders my statement rhetorical.

Yet it remains to be seen if the Zambia attacker can produce anything like the statistics and overall influence of a generational athlete such as LCFC’s No.9. Time will tell, as Foxes of Leicester always says.

In the meantime, manager Brendan Rodgers provided information on when Vardy will rejoin his teammates on the training pitch. Then it will only be a matter of time before the 35-year-old is fit for selection, boosting the east Midlands outfit no end.

"“Jamie’s probably seven to 10 days away from rejoining the squad.”Leicester Mercury"

So, there you have it, the main man is only a week or so from full training. Consequently we can predict Vardy’s return date: Burnley at Turf Moor on March 1 is a possibility, but may come too soon. However, Leeds United on the 5th at King Power Stadium is a far more plausible date for him to come back into the team.

The Leicester line-up showed more passion in their fine margin defeat to Midlands rivals Wolves. Although the never-ending problems of an unorganised and flailing defence remain, along with typically awful set-pieces.

Defending corners is now a nightmarish scenario for the entire Blue Army to watch. Whilst it is easy to say the Foxes deserved something from the game, elements of Rodgers’ instructions and tactics need refreshing.
