Leicester fans nominate most vital player to keep in summer

As things stand, this has all the potential of a 2023 summer transfer saga; preventing this from happening is imperative.

With these three names in mind, Foxes of Leicester recently put out a poll on Twitter, asking which player Leicester fans want the club to focus on keeping. Here are the results:

The results are telling but don’t come as a surprise. Whilst it would be lovely if Leicester could keep him, as the summer window comes closer, more fans are beginning to make peace with the fact that Youri Tielemans is destined to depart. Some may feel that efforts to keep him now will be in vain, and that focus would be better put into the rest of the squad.
James Maddison’s fantastic form of late has been a huge boost to fans and has increased his importance in Leicester’s future, but Wesley Fofana’s influence in the squad is blatant here, with him winning the poll by a landslide. His absence has only highlighted how much the Foxes need and miss him; his return can’t come soon enough.
Fans also took to the comments to explain what their priorities would be this summer. Here are some of the replies:

Rebuilding and reshaping the squad will be a huge task for the Leicester City hierarchy as they aim to progress the club alongside the new stadium developments, and we could see an equal number of incomings as we see outgoings.
