Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers offered the injury latest on missing Foxes fullbacks Ricardo Pereira and Timothy Castagne.

With Jamie Vardy making a timely and dazzling impact upon his return to fitness for Leicester versus Burnley in the Premier League this past week, attention now shifts to Leeds United’s visit to Leicestershire on Saturday. Leeds have a new manager, Jesse Marsch, following the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa recently.

Usually EPL sides are given an immediate boost when appointing a new gaffer – typically with three points. However, LCFC has seemingly turned a corner this season, making for a thrilling encounter.

Vardy and James Maddison will surely be given starting roles vs Marsch’s team due to the pair’s immense cameo performances against the Clarets. The former supplied an assist for Maddison, in addition to netting the second goal himself.

Rodgers will hope he has as few selection issues as possible, with personnel problems seemingly easing. James Justin is not quite ready for first eleven action; similarly to Wesley Fofana. Both men are expected to feature in Under-23 outings for prudent match fitness.

Meanwhile, fresh information was provided on Ricardo Pereira, who was substituted at Turf Moor. Rodgers also spoke on Timothy Castagne:

"“He [Ricardo] felt a tightness in his hamstring, we couldn’t risk it,” manager Brendan Rodgers said after the victory in Lancashire. “We’re trying to keep him fit.”Leicester Mercury“He’s [Castagne] probably another three weeks or so. He had the operation on his leg. At the same time he had his shoulder done as well.”Leicester Mercury"

Should Leicester City Football Club build a statue of Jamie Vardy outside King Power Stadium?

Foxes of Leicester asked our followers if they would support the East Midlands outfit commissioning a Vardy statue on the grounds of King Power Stadium. And, unsurprisingly, the rather rhetorical question got a widely strong as well as positive response.

It appears that the Blue Army overwhelmingly – 100 per cent of them surveyed, as far a I can tell at the time of writing – back the construction of a model of the legendary No.9 at the LCFC ground. Some suggested there was no need to await the ex-England international’s dreaded retirement to begin work.
