Man United 1-1 Leicester: Foxes of Leicester’s player ratings
By Akash Roy
It was a frustrating conclusion for Leicester City followers as the team tried their best to earn all three points from their away trip to Old Trafford.
What was a positive display from Brendan Rodgers and the team will now be remembered for all the wrong reasons. The officiating in this contest was questionable – to say the least!
The Foxes scored first, but couldn’t hold on to their lead as Manchester United soon capitalized on an interception. An unnecessary hard tackle from Scott McTominay was not enough to convince the officials of a possible red. A second Leicester City goal for James Maddison was chalked off after yet another controversial VAR check.
Leicester City player ratings-
Kasper Schmeichel- A few easy saves were matched by two fantastic shot-stops, which denied United on occasions. An error of distribution from the LCFC captain was enough to lose the lead to United’s equalizer. 6
James Justin- Was quick-witted on the right flank matching strides with Luke Shaw and Alex Telles. He looked fine as a wingback and was the most fouled player. 7
Timothy Castagne- The Belgian was vital in neutralizing United’s collective efforts. Castagne made the most number of tackles for his side and was instrumental in dealing with the danger in the box. 7.5
