A much-changed Leicester City side fell to a 3-1 defeat against top-four chasing Tottenham Hotspur. Having made 8 changes, Leicester’s priorities were clearly elsewhere and it was a performance similar to those of previous games. Despite starting brightly, the Foxes conceded against the run of play to a corner scored by Harry Kane, Leicester’s nemesis.

After this, LCFC dominated possession without really threatening, and Spurs carried greater danger on the counter-attack. Eventually, the game was killed off thanks to the brilliance of Son-Heung Min and some lax City defending. Just before the final whistle, Kelechi Iheanacho gave Foxes fans something to cheer with a well-taken drive from outside the area. Here’s how the players rated after a forgettable afternoon.

Goalkeeper and defenders

Kasper Schmeichel: 6/10- Had to pick the ball out of the net 3 times but could do little about any of them. Made a brilliant sprawling save from Harry Kane in the first half to stop LCFC from going 2-0 down and his distribution was average once again.

Marc Albrighton: 5/10- As always worked hard but there was precious little end product from Albrighton. Saw a lot of the ball but struggled to find the end product, completing none of his 14 crosses. In his defence, he put in a couple of excellent deliveries but no one was on the end of it.
