A lot of the fans consider these two as ideal replacements for Schmeichel. Both English goalkeepers are fantastic in their own right and have the potential to become England’s number one shortly, provided they pick out an ideal destination to showcase their traits.

Nick Pope- Pope has only one year left in his contract, and with the possibility of relegation looming, his departure can become imminent for Burnley. After eight loan spells for Charlton Athletic, Burnley trusted Pope to become their first-choice goalkeeper. Since then, the fans have been admiring the traits of the 30-year-old English goalkeeper

Unfortunately, he has never been able to leave at the right moment, despite interests emerging from the top sides. His shot-stopping skills are second to none. Considering the marginal support provided by Burnley’s defense, he is far too often left exposed to deal with the threats on his own. Along with envious reflexes, he shines equally with his long distributions and against long-range shots. Valued at £13.5 million, Pope would be a decent choice for the Foxes.

Dean Henderson- The way Manchester United has exiled Henderson is nothing short of criminal on their part. The 25-year-old was sought highly after his regular praiseworthy performances for Sheffield United. After which, it all went wrong, as David de Gea has retained his spot season after season, while opportunities have been exclusively rare for the number two.

It’s no secret that Henderson wants to leave, and having a contract in place for another two years will only provide United with the upper hand in his negotiation. Though his long passing is weak like Schmeichel, he is the best option on this list, even if he costs more than the others. At around £30 million, Leicester City can have a young goalkeeper, who has good reflexes, can save penalties, and is good at saving close-range and long-range shots.
