Leicester City remain a club who have not unveiled their kit for the 22/23 Premier League season. Meanwhile, other Adidas partners have already begun unveiling.

The King Power club have usually revealed their next season’s kit on the final day of the prior season. They like to send the players out in new blue and white. This has been a policy I have supported.

There are obvious benefits: exposure, finances, supporters viewing, etc. Yet the Foxes are yet to release their kit. It is unclear whether this is due to a delay within the side or if Adidas is slowing the process.

The details of Leicester City’s new kit

As reported, the 22/23 is currently the final year of a five-year deal with the German manufacturer to design and produce Leicester’s home, away, and third kits for all competitions. What is clear is that the German sports giant has already allowed other partner’s shirts to be revealed to supporters.

Meanwhile, our shirt sponsor FBS – an online trading company – will continue to embellish the front of the Foxes’ shirts. The finances from that deal provide a meaningful benefit to the club, so should help to promote transfer activity.

There have been plenty of ‘leaks’ online. We cannot speculate onto the validity of any of the concepts or leaks online, likely all will be at least partially or completely off. Adidas use templates, so we can look to other partnered clubs to see what ours may well look like.

From the traditional blue and white home kit to rumoured black and gold or green and yellow shirts, the concepts have not been convincing. I do personally hope a black and gold coloured shirt is on the horizon.

To be unveiled soon!

The 22/23 Premier League season will commence on the 6th of August. In that light, several clubs are already beginning to shed light on their next stripes. Clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Brentford have given their supporters something to buy.

Personally, I do love the new Arsenal and Liverpool kits, but I would never purchase a red shirt from a rival PL team. Nevertheless, with those sides ahead, the King Power club cannot be far behind. The only reason for our stripes not to be revealed would be if the maker had not 100% completed the process. This would be an indication they were treating us as less important than other sides. But hopefully not.

Either way, Leicester must act swiftly to benefit from additional exposure so that supporters can purchase their next kits for the upcoming season. Any longer delay is just a financial cost to the side.
