Premier League defender names Jamie Vardy as toughest he’s faced
Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Max Kilman has named Leicester City legend and current striker Jamie Vardy as the toughest he’s faced in the Premier League.
Vardy is admired by modest, neutral football fans. He is iconised by Leicester supporters, and legendary amongst broadcasters. Basically, the former England striker is a revered footballing idol.
It also appears that the Foxes No.9 is feared by defenders – as if that notion was ever in doubt! Since 2014 the Sheffield-born player has been terrorising defences in the Premier League. Most fans around the world’s memories still surely contain the former Fleetwood Town man, sporting a mohawk hairstyle, sliding on his knees in celebration of a wonderful goal to clinch victory again Manchester United.

That previous instance occurred way back in the 2014/15 campaign, and seems to age like a fine wine. He even lifted the English top-flight Golden Boot as he approached his mid-30s a couple of years ago.
