This is when Foxes of Leicester expect Leicester City’s brand new 2022/23 kit to finally be released, after a rather silent delay to the announcement.

We all love a new football team kit. Even the lovely parents buying new shirts for their children are thinking ‘I might have to get one of them for myself!’ Admit it – you are even excited about other clubs’ new designs. And subsequently debate with your mates which is nicer; some even wear other sides’ strips on occasion. Though that last example may be few and far between here, due to a form of tribalism making it frowned upon in England.

So, needless to say, for some reason even this torturous period of no domestic football and the tiring inundating of transfer rumours is lightened with the thought of fresh signings in gleaming kits. However, us Foxes fans have been forced to await the announcement for updated LCFC garb. Apparently there could be supply chain issues at present.

This supposed but realistic problem also impacted the majority of other Premier League outfits. And, by extension, other entities all over the world.

By my count from last week, only eight English top-flight squads have had the luxury of up-to-date outfitting. These lucky few include a few big names, unsurprisingly: Arsenal, Brentford, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In recent campaigns, the East Midlanders had released upcoming outfield and goalkeeper tops, shorts and socks by now. In fact, it was a month prior, roughly. King Power players even sported them for the final match of the term.

When will Leicester City’s new 2022/23 kit finally be released?

Basically LCFC are likely to introduce the 2022/23 home strip very, very soon. Any day now, is my prediction. Jordan Blackwell of Leicester Mercury was informed of a mid-June release, though we are now past that approximate date. Although, , in truth, that means at any moment. The journalist expects the shirt to be on sale to the public by the beginning of July.
