Will one of these latest transfer targets be Leicester’s first summer signing?
Will one of these two latest supposed Leicester City transfer targets be the Foxes’ first summer signing? Foxes of Leicester examines links and qualities.
Without any significant movement as of yet, fans are restless. A contract renewal for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shall hold off supporter pressure for only so long. Irrespective of how crucial security Dewsbury-Hall was.
There are, however, a pair of players most recently connected with a move to Filbert Way. So let’s take a look. Firstly Nicola Zalewski, who impressed for Roma last season. Of course the Italians are Leicester’s Europa Conference League foe.
According to this report, Fulham join the Foxes with a host of teams vying for Zalewski’s signature. He would be a very promising addition for Leicester. Though, with the wingback position sewnup, a switch seems unlikely for the very modern athlete.
Next up is Sasa Kalajdzic of Stuttgart. The towering, emotional Austrian is an old-fashioned No.9 with due respect. Kalajdzic’s ability and qualities earned him admirers, one of which are said to be the Foxes.
Although, we know Brendan Rodgers doesn’t require or rate this profile in his solo strikers. George Hirst will get a chance next month, but ultimately, Rodgers will continue how he has.
Realistically, I feel as though Benjamin Bourigeaud could be the initial acquisition of the offseason. Don’t ask me why, as this expectation is merely an educated hunch. Effectively, Bourigeaud just appears to fit the LCFC profile.
Leicester City’s preseason match schedule in full
Now that LCFC have finally published their complete list of friendly games, FoL will detail them. Delays with kit and outing announcements aren’t usual with the East Midlands side, which is typically a well-oiled machine. I suppose outside sources are much to blame, possibly.
Regardless, let’s have a look. First up and Notts County on Saturday, July 9 at Leicester City Training Ground, Seagrave. Kickoff is 1pm BST. Following this clash is an away trip to sister club, OH Leuven. The non-competitive contest begins at the same time as the previous one.
However, there is a simultaneous fixture for the Foxes versus Preston North End at Deepdale. The squad will split into two; the second match of the day starts two hours later. Finally, Leicester meet Sevilla in their showpiece at King Power Stadium at 6pm, Sunday the 31st. This is just a week before the Premier League gets underway.
