City‘s seemingly average season can be pinpointed back to one man in August. Fernando Rodriguez of Villarreal thought it was a good idea to go flying into Wesley Fofana’s leg in a pre-season friendly. Every Foxes fan knew that as Wesley Fofana lay on the floor with a fractured fibula that the season was going to be a problem. Fofana is one of the most sought-after centre-backs after his breakthrough season.
What was most impressive was that as he lay in hospital ready for surgery, he was posting out social media messages already planning his road to recovery. Most Leicester fans wrote off the chance of seeing him back in any capacity till the 2022/2023 season.
