Leicester City to offload players before talks for target intensify
Reports have come out that Leicester City is interested in Feyenoord’s young star, Orkun Kokcu. However, the Foxes feel as if they need to offload some players before they make a push for the midfielder.
The Turkish midfielder made his first appearance for Feyenoord at 17 years old. Every season since then, Kokcu has made more and more appearances. This past season, he made 44 appearances for Feyenoord where he scored nine goals and assisted nine of his own.
Additionally, Kokcu has also made ten appearances for Turkey’s national team this season. Not to mention starting in six of those games and overall has produced two assists and a goal.

The kid can move the ball: whether it’s short passes, through balls, or one-touch passes, Kokcu is always making impressive passes. These are great signs of a very competent young player. Besides his excellent passing, Kokcu has shown success in long-range shooting and set-piece taking as well. This last season, he scored more goals from outside the box than inside it. Four of his assists came from corners/free kicks. The Turkish midfielder just provides so much at a young age.
Although they won’t be on the pitch at the same time, a trio of Kokcu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Wilfred Ndidi would be a serious problem for the rest of the premier league. Kokcu and KDH can focus on moving the ball upwards to our playmakers while Wilfred Ndidi can mark and defend any attacker coming his way. Kokcu is an addition that would add youth and even more talent to a talented midfield.
His transfer value is around €20.3 million. However, LCFC is looking to offload some players before making an official bid. Dennis Praet spent last season on loan at Torino and it’s looking like he may make a return to Italy as Fiorentina is looking to sign him on a permanent deal.

Arsenal also appears to have reignited interest in Youri Tielemans and Real Betis is interested in signing Ayoze Perez. With those players having rumored interest in other teams, the foxes may still be interested in offloading other players including Caglar Soyuncu, Hamza Choudhury, and Jannik Vestergaard.
