Leicester City fullback Timothy Castagne is expected to remain on Filbert Way despite interest and a need to sell. Meanwhile the Foxes have rejected an offer for Boubakary Soumare.

Leicester must rid themselves of unneeded and, potentially, needed players before they can obtain new ones. You are going to be hearing different renditions of that update whilst the transfer window is active – so get used to it! While Castagne is a fan favourite and was an astute signing, I do not consider him indispensable. A fit Ricardo Pereira and James Justin would actually keep the Belgium international out of the starting lineup. Nevertheless, losing the former would be a loss to squad strength.

Boubakary Soumare is a man the King Power outfit are more likely to relinquish. Soumare clearly has sporting pedigree and will probably develop into a very capable, elite midfielder. But that transition might perhaps occur elsewhere.

AS Monaco have apparently had a €15million bid for the Frenchman rejected. Although the French team are said to be keen to return with an improved offer for Soumare. £20M plus is acceptable to Leicester hierarchy.
