Leicester City put in a dominant performance across the park to claim the Corendon Cup in the preseason friendly against Hull City on Wednesday night at the MKM Stadium.

Leicester City’s Daniel Iverson – 7

The Danish keeper was rarely troubled during the game but did make a couple of decent saves when he ran off his line to collect  lofted through balls which had the potential to cause issues for the Foxes’ defence. Iverson put in a strong performance as a sweeper keeper and comfortably collected any poor passes from the opposition.

Daniel Amartey – 6.5

None of the three centre-backs had much to do in the first half and were rarely troubled when the hosts made runs in attack. Amartey didn’t stand out but he also didn’t make any concerning mistakes in his time on the pitch.

Jannik Vestergaard – 6.5

Vestergaard got off to a strong start with an impressive ball over the top which brought Timothy Castagne into the game. The Danish defender seemed more comfortable with the ball at his feet as opposed to last season. Vestergaard used his height to full advantage and won the majority of aerial duels in the box.
