With all of the chaos surrounding Leicester City’s poor form and transfer rumors, an injury is something the Foxes can’t afford right now. So losing star player James Maddison might perhaps be particularly destructive to the LCFC team.

Unfortunately to Brendan Rodgers and the rest of the team, that is the unfortunate scenario that has arrived at one of the best players on the team. Rodgers announced on Thursday that James Maddison’s status questionable heading into Saturday’s game against Chelsea.

It is unsure what the exact injury is. Rodgers stated this morning that Madders felt a “twinge” in training yesterday, leaving him questionable for this upcoming weekend. This would be a massive loss for LCFC. The team only has one point to show from three games. Now heading into a game with one of the best teams in the league, not having Maddison playing would be a significant loss.

The East Midlands team may now head into this game without their most creative attacking player. It is unknown if this will lead to a formation change from Rodgers. The LCFC midfield is hurting at the moment; though Harvey Barnes making his return helped out a lot. But, with this injury news and Youri Tielemans, Dennis Praet, and Boubakary Soumare all involved in transfer rumors, the middle of the park feels stuck in a messy scenario.

The midfield isn’t the only issue the Northern Irishman will have to attempt to resolve before Saturday. There is only one week left in the transfer window with CFC still heavily interested in signing Fofana. Chelsea has made numerous offers for the player.

The Frenchman has apparently already agreed to personal terms with the Londoners, it’s just down to Leicester City and their Premier League rivals to agree to a deal. These negotiations have caused a lot of drama within the team, to the point of the gaffer demoting Fofana to the Under-21s.
