Respected football journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed many fans’ suspicions concerning Leicester City’s Brendan Rodgers.

As starts to a season go, a struggling Rodgers and most of his floundering team have been absolutely terrible. Sadly for Foxes fans and this formerly very well ran club, they have ‘conceded a Premier League record-high 22 goals’ in their first seven outings.

This is officially Leicester’s worst beginning to a campaign for almost 40 years. Yeah, since 1983-84. Wow. Many supporters of other teams the Northern Irishman has managed warned or reminded the Blue Army that Rodgers often stumbles in his third full term with an outfit. And it is true that the former Swansea City and Liverpool boss appears out of his depth when his men are not performing, are in a minor crisis, or a relegation battle.

And don’t kid yourself, if you are – the east Midlanders are already dicing with the drop. Before we even get to October, a bad situation develops on Filbert Way. The scenario may get worse, perhaps even toxic, if the Foxes lose to rivals Nottingham Forest at King Power Stadium on the third of that month in the subsequent fixture.

At Foxes of Leicester, those of us who are proud to support LCFC take no pride in correctly predicting matters which negatively affect the football club. Nevertheless, we and many of our followers have been expecting the situation to get worse, and it clearly has.

Why deterioration was expected is very straightforward and began over a year ago through Rodgers’ unwillingness to admit failure at his set-piece defending issues. Nor did he attempt to hire appropriate staff to deal with the apparent problems; then he exhibited a reluctance to alter his failed zonal methods with a lack of accountability. In the meantime, favourites were played unfairly and decent squad members cast aside. Promises were made and broken. Though the last example was possibly through no fault of the boss.

These instances also revealed to FoL a previously unseen, unfavourable and unpleasant angle of the head coach. This meant many of our contributors were in favour of removing the gaffer, and were given foresight with respect to his declining results and potentially worsening relationship with the LCFC board.

With rumours of Rodgers’ impending dismissal from Leicester abound, we now have confirmation of deliberations. The famous Fabrizio Romano’s claim is below:
