According to a significant report, if true, Caglar Soyuncu has rejected a Leicester City contract offer and chosen a new club to transfer to.

Soyuncu has not been in favour with Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers for over a year now, at least. The Turk was integral to the Foxes for a long while. Along with being very admired in his tough yet accomplished capacity over a couple of seasons.

During the period when Soyuncu was a starter for Rodgers, he was so imposing and masterly that superclubs in the world’s top divisions supposedly had their collective eyes on the centreback. Though uncompromising in the challenge, as I’ve tried to outline, Soyuncu also had the guile and deftness to pick a decent or difficult pass. Not to mention the intelligence and technique to thwart as well as elude opposition attackers.

However, a combination of notable mistakes, a lack of confidence, poor displays and rash decisions jeapordised his established place in the LCFC starting XI. Subsequently, there were stories in sports media suggesting that the former Freiburg man wanted to leave Filbert Way.

As of now, Soyuncu is no longer considering his future. The defender is said to have chosen Atletico Madrid after declining a new Foxes contract. The Spaniards will make a small bid to attract the 26-year-old in January, prior to his existing deal expiring in July.

Leicester City in advanced talks to appoint expert to Foxes recruitment team after he left Tottenham Hotspur

Leicester’s recruitment was certainly up and down whilst Brendan Rodgers’ choice of transfer chief, Lee Congerton, led the department. To he honest, the mixed results in the market over that short era were more disappointing than promising, with only a few incoming players delivering.

While the east Midlanders struggle to gain European entry once more, now is the time for some astute signings. To that end, the King Power club are seeking to expand their recruitment team. Peter Braund, formerly of Spurs, might perhaps become part of the Foxes setup.

Braund is apparently in negotiations with LCFC over the role. The Leicestershire outfit want an experienced operator in the position as an important January window gets ever closer. The fresh addition will be under leader Martyn Glover, and possibly concentrating on scouting stars and up-and-coming athletes of the German Bundesliga.
