Leicester consider swoop for Bayern Munich goalkeeper

Leicester City are reportedly considering an attempt to sign Bayern Munich goalkeeper Yann Sommer, in spite of potential Premier League relegation. Foxes of Leicester opine on the claim.

The feeling of disquietude felt by the Blue Army subsequently turned to apathy over the past few weeks. Consequent to hopes of surviving decreasing, resignation over the possibility of dropping down to the Championship is now also prevalent in the fan base. Meanwhile, the King Power club’s ownership and so-called sporting directors continue to plan for the unknown. I suppose this is still prudent, yet I don’t particularly wish to give club I love any praise at the moment.

Yann Sommer of Munich is supposedly on the wishlist. The Swiss will ‘almost certainly’ leave the German outfit this summer. Reports are uncertain, but City may perhaps bid; Villarreal and Valencia join LCFC in pursuit. Again, why would a top level footballer contemplate LCFC presently?

Thankfully, Leicester fans in England who can’t attend the big match for whatever reason can still view it live on television this Sunday. United Kingdom viewers won’t have to find a pub, ask a mate for help or obtain a dodgy stream if they don’t want to. Whether the east Midlands side will be televised a lot next season if they are in the Championship is another question altogether.

LCFC must defeat West Ham United this weekend, as you’ll already know. But a win doesn’t even give the Foxes safety as an Everton victory guarantees the Toffees’ survival. There are 10 simultaneous 4:30pm Premier League kickoffs for the last day of 2022/23. Division bosses arrange the fixtures this way in order to ensure no teams give another any advantages.
