According to a report from The Telegraph, Harvey Barnes’s supposed transfer price tag has been revealed. The Leicester City winger also personally apologised for because of the Foxes support suffering through an unnecessary relegation.

West Ham United defeated Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League Final on Wednesday night. According to this report, the Hammers also lead the race to sign Leicester star Barnes.

Furthermore, West Ham are supposedly lining up a £30million offer for the winger. This seems rather low to Foxes of Leicester. The King Power club are said to value Barnes at approximately £40m.

Harvey Barnes issues an apology to Leicester City supporters

Just like the procession of other prominent Leicester footballers, Barnes has also admitted regret to the fan base for the atrocious campaign ending in demotion to the Championship. He said that he is ‘personally very sorry‘ for the situation. A particularly timely communication, as the transfer window will open soon.

In addition to that, the winger declared that the east Midlands outfit should be a constant in the Premier League. And FoL wholeheartedly agree. He added that the squad let the faithful, who spend their hard earned cash, down. You can read Barnes’s remorseful words in full by clicking the above link.

Yes, Barnes is arguably the last Fox in the 2022/23 squad from whom an apology was required or necessary, though even he could still have done more last season. There are questions around his consistency, strength on the ball and the desire and understanding or capacity to aid his teammates such as the adjacent fullback.

Nevertheless, he did manage a notable goal contribution tally for a relegated footballer. I’m sure a top half EPL club will eventually take on the Leicester City Academy product. Media stories suggest he will depart this summer; Villa and Newcastle are most frequently linked with Barnes. As I’ve said before, I’m fairly positive he’ll leave, but it would obviously be huge for LCFC if the wingman did remain a Fox. But don’t get your hopes up – at all.
