We probably now know whether or not Jamie Vardy will play in the Championship with Leicester City next season. Foxes of Leicester discuss the legendary but aging No.9 along with the latest update from manager Enzo Maresca.

FA Cup goalscorer Youri Tielemans has gone. Caglar Soyuncu went out of the door. Not to mention James Maddison and Harvey Barnes being almost certain leavers, too. But it isn’t all doom and gloom on Filbert Way. Two Foxes in particular appear to have committed themselves to aiding the Premier League comeback. First of all, Zambian striker Patson Daka seems to want to stay; the second English division may suit him down to the ground!

In addition, Victor Kristiansen is up for the tier two experience as well as the fight; I envisage the Dane succeeding as well. But the Blue Army would love to know club legend Jamie Vardy’s thoughts. The Athletic claims the Leicester icon is expected to remain at LCFC for 2023/24. Meanwhile the east Midlanders’ manager Enzo Maresca wants Vardy to ‘spearhead’ his attack.

Tickets now on sale for Leicester City pre-season friendly versus Northampton Town

Leicester begin their English Football League campaign on August 6 with a home fixture versus Midlands rivals Coventry City. But the first friendly of preseason is in 21 days at the time of publishing; City play another fairly close side in Northampton Town on the 15th of that month at Sixfields Stadium.

Following that practice outing, the King Power team compete in exhibition matches against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in Bangkok and Singapore respectively. Those games take place on July 23 and then the 30th.

Leicester City also meet Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup First Round at some point; that meeting is yet to be scheduled. Tickets for the Cobblers friendly are now on sale. LCFC have been allocated 1,850 tickets; the number includes 14 spaces for wheelchair users.
