A Leicester City striker is reportedly on the verge of a transfer to one of the Foxes’ Midlands rivals. Will Nottingham Forest sign Kelechi Iheanacho, will he end up at Roma with Jose Mourinho, or remain in Leicestershire? Foxes of Leicester take a look at hearsay and offer a verdict on two LCFC stars and their possible destinations.

It is said that Mourinho wants Iheanacho in Italy; I imagine that many people will instantly dismiss this rumour. However, I consider the versatile forward as underrated: his FA Cup record of the highest scoring active player speaks for itself. He can ‘do it’ on the biggest stages and is fairly proven in all departments. The 26-year-old’s Premier League scoring record would be more impressive if Brendan Rodgers hadn’t disregarded him.

Meanwhile, reports emanating from Nigeria suggest that Iheanacho is on the precipice of signing for Forest. While I can’t remember many eventually proven EPL transfer stories originating there, it is his homeland. Make up your own mind by reading the piece here.

Patson Daka also wanted for potential transfer away from Leicester City to Roma

I don’t expect this next bit of speculation to be true. To be fair, after Daka’s displays, it is pretty unrealistic. I had some hope for the centreforward when he arrived at Leicester. Even a few extra goals last season would’ve really made a difference to the campaign.

Basically, it is said that the Zambian might perhaps also be in Serie A action soon as well. To be precise, Mourinho may want him at Roma in addition to his current LCFC teammate. That’s the claim in this article from the Express, anyway.

Now, I see this as particularly unlikely for the reason previously outlined: Daka simply hasn’t been very good in the Premier League. Therefore, why would the sixth-placed side in the Italian first division who were also the Europa League competition runners want the Zambia international presently? Maybe it’s a prospective backup role.
