Foxes of Leicester offer news and views as the east Midlands club make more transfer moves. Winger Stephy Mavididi is set to sign for Leicester City.

Leicester City are on the verge of completing another signing. Reports from French media claim that Montpellier forward Stephy Mavididi will likely become a Fox.

The 25-year-old will probably be in England to complete the transfer in the next few days. He’ll arrive on Filbert Way with a four-year deal.

Apparent boost for Leicester City in chase of Manchester City’s highly rated prospect Cole Palmer

Palmer would be ideal at City for this Championship season. Funnily enough, when I first watched the attack-minded midfielder I was unconvinced as to the hype surrounding him. Following that when hearing of and seeing further footage and appearances by the up-and-coming player, I began to understand the praise. That acclaim came from across the board, from fans to athletes as well as coaching staff.

Even Man City’s illustrious senior stars rate Palmer. You can read an example of that fact by clicking here and seeing what Kalvin Phillips said of his Citizens teammate. LCFC have been connected with a move for the starlet – in what would only ever be a temporary switch from his big time club – for a while now.

The prospective Palmer deal felt like ‘the one that would get away’ from the King Power outfit. In a ‘too good to be true’ sense, I presume that the MCFC man is aiming for Premier League football. He is 21 now, so with his talents he wants to be kicking on at elite level.

Nevertheless, Leicester have apparently not been deterred in their pursuit. The Foxes have been given ‘a major boost’ in the chase, according to journalist Ben Jacobs. Leicester are battling other sides, but Pep Guardiola has made the decision to loan out Palmer. LCFC manager Enzo Maresca’s ties with City could be the difference in succeeding here, suggests Jacobs.
