Unfortunately for wantaway Leicester City defender Timothy Castagne, the Belgium international might not have his wish to leave the Foxes granted after all. Foxes of Leicester detail media rumours and provide opinion.

I won’t bore you by reiterating for too long the fact that I consider Castagne overrated. Nor will we dwell on my view that he gets a comparatively easy ride from Leicester fans regarding his form and efforts to leave directly after relegation despite his own mediocre showings.

Former Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson talks about the Foxes and makes a prediction for the upcoming Championship campaign

Current Bristol City boss and ex-LCFC gaffer Nigel Pearson is an outspoken man. I don’t think anybody would disagree with that – even ‘Big Nige’ himself. I think he pretty much did as good as a job as anyone could at King Power Stadium during his tenure. Essentially the majority of the squad and starting team on Filbert Way whom eventually lifted the Premier League were assembled by the 59-year-old.

I know much of the Blue Army, such as myself, are forever grateful for his immeasurable input ahead of the unfathomable 2015/16 triumph. Every young Fox should know their club’s true story. After Pearson left in summer 2015, Claudio Ranieri came in and the rest is history.

Now the Bristol chief has spoken on the east Midlands side as they inexplicably crash out of the English top-flight due to inaction and embark on a Championship season. However, as candidly as ever, the onetime defender revealed bold expectations. He does not envision the Foxes running away with the second division title as easily as Burnley did last term. Although, Pearson fails to rule out an immediate EPL comeback for the Leicestershire outfit, either.
