Ndidi decides whether to stay at Leicester or leave
Formerly standout defensive midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has reportedly decided whether or not he would like to leave or stay at Leicester City.
Ndidi’s Foxes decline was more noticeable than other players’ because he was so competent in his role. He is another Fox who likely believes he should be playing in one of Europe’s eminent divisions.
Ndidi’s future is speculated about at the moment. According to this report, the Nigerian is ‘open to leaving‘ LCFC.
Premier League club targeting out of favour Leicester City goalkeeper
Daniel Iversen was a prospect with the King Power club. Then he did well on loan and caught the eye of pundits as well as supporters. Subsequently, the Dane was given some chances in the League Cup here and there for the Leicestershire side. When Danny Ward was consistently unimpressive in spite of a flailing defence in front of him, Iversen got his opportunity in the Premier League.
Overall, I would say that Iversen is probably the better goalkeeper and more suited to potential top level domestic and international football than his colleague. This opinion mainly derived from Ward’s fragility in a mental sense; the Wales National Team representative does, however, arguably distribute from the floor better.
One stopper who is definitely confident by foot is new signing Mads Hermansen. The man from Denmark – what an affinity the Foxes have with Danish stoppers – seems to be the new No.1 choice. Hermansen made some keen and important saves as Leicester just about defeated Coventry City at the weekend. I am impressed with him in general but it is early days, of course.
Iversen may have a way out of the Championship and return to the EPL. Crystal Palace are apparently eyeing the 26-year-old, along with also relegated Alex McCarthy of Southampton. Both ‘keepers are respectively in the running to be the new Eagles understudy with ‘Vicente Guaita refusing to play’.
