Leicester City are set to sign a sixth new player this summer following a medical supposedly being passed on Friday ahead of an imminent move.

Cesare Casadei will be a Fox soon, that is according to reports. Although much of the Blue Army expected the loan deal to be announced by now.

The reason for the apparent delay is that Chelsea recruitment staff were concerned with securing Moises Caicedo. The Ecuadorian is now a Blue so expect the Italian to be unveiled at Seagrave soon.

Leicester City must rid themselves of unneeded players on ridiculous wages

I know £70,000-per-week is definitely cheap for an ‘elite level’ footballer these days. But still having questionable signings on this salary is getting silly now for Leicester. The east Midlands side are not even in the top tier anymore: LCFC must get real and start offloading the deadwood. Patson Daka gets an astonishing 75k a week; he’s been linked with switches elsewhere and that eventuality may be best for both parties.

I know Coady is injured so acquiring another centreback would be ideal. Promoting a talented one would be even better, I wonder how Ben Nelson would get on in the Championship. But I see nothing particularly positive to come regarding the relationship between Leicester City Football Club and Danish defender Jannik Vestergaard. Sorry to keep going on about the Dane, but he should have left ages ago. He is paid 70k weekly and the books need balancing!

These 3 Leicester players are surely now going to leave. dark. Next

Vestergaard rejected perfectly good transfer opportunities and seemed to almost want to spurn the Foxes after he was headhunted and then swiftly disregarded. I am sure this judgement of mine is incorrect and harsh – yet it’s a possibility. The towering centrehalf is currently back in Enzo Maresca‘s managerial thoughts and it may spell disaster this season at some stage! But, obviously, let’s hope not.
