Leicester City have supposedly enquired about striker Andi Zeqiri. Meanwhile a bid is said to have materialised for midfielder Boubakary Soumare. Foxes of Leicester with news and views for the Blue Army as the transfer window remains active and so does the east Midlands club.

Enzo Maresca isn’t finished while the opportunity to sign more necessary players and dispose of unnecessary players exits. The Italian established this aim to the media, which may be slightly unwise or naive following Brendan Rodgers’ mistakes. Though Rodgers was made empty promises – if we are honest about how LCFC was being run: poorly, at the time. But the successor to Rodgers’ brief heir Dean Smith doesn’t seem to care about his reflection in the newspapers or on social media. Maresca knows what is required at King Power Stadium as is striving to achieve it.

It appears that Kelechi Iheanacho is more likely to stay than Patson Daka at this point, and most Leicester fans will be satisfied with that possible outcome. FoL is one of them. Jamie Vardy did not appear to have to reiterate his intention to stand by the club which gave him his realised chance at glory. While Iheanacho discusses a potential new contract, there may be a gap for another striker to arrive. Andi Zeqiri is apparently on the Foxes wishlist; the 24-year-old is currently with Brighton & Hove Albion. I would suggest that Zeqiri fits the model Leicester are attempting to execute.

Things didn’t work out for Soumare at Leicester. He is talented and a couple of managers wanted to integrate or even use him regularly. Yet he never fully got to grips with the Premier League at all, not consistently, at least. Now it seems as though he is either not in Maresca’s plans or does not want to play in the Championship. The latest on the Frenchman is that an offer has originated from Spain.
