Leicester make progress towards signing international winger
According to a report from Turkey, Leicester City have made progress towards signing an international winger. Foxes of Leicester on Yunus Akgun.
If you include probable development addition Arjan Raikhy on the list, the Foxes have made seven signings this summer. That number is comprised of four seemingly ideal senior acquisitions: Stephy Mavididi, Conor Coady, Harry Winks and Mads Hermansen. Not to mention two very good loanees in Callum Doyle and Cesare Casadei from Manchester City and Chelsea respectively. And lastly the aforementioned promising incoming Under-21s capture. Though the amount could be upped to eight in total very soon.
The east Midlands outfit seek an eighth capture, but it is a specific, elusive and appropriate footballer they want: a left-footed right winger. Yep, don’t worry, I shall refrain from explaining the futile Riyad Mahrez void. And I, like so many in the Blue Army, will remain positive and optimistic that LCFC will eventually get the right man in that role one day. Leicester’s – or manager Enzo Maresca’s – first choice wingman for the position is said to be Jesurun Rak-Sakyi, recently of Crystal Palace. The King Power side are also possibly after Yunus Akgun, a Turkish National Team representative. Both men fit the bill. Yet negotiations are moving regarding the latter; City are reportedly working hard to deliver Maresca one wish.
Following his goalscoring heroics versus Cardiff City in the victory at King Power Stadium this past weekend, Cesare Casadei spoke to Leicester City Football Club media
The Foxes fan base have a new hero in Casadei. Hail Cesare, as professor Robert Garner puts it. The Italian spoke after he netted the winning goal versus Cardiff, declaring that he ‘couldn’t ask for more’ from his LCFC debut. However, he admitted to being nervous prior to the contest. Hopefully his ideal beginning can continue.
