Italian journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed a Foxes move and revealed details of the deal as Leicester City are set to sign Turkish winger Yunus Akgun.

Leicester fans will be delighted with this update, especially from the best of sources. Romano has outlined information on the latest LCFC signing, and it is a more promising addition than fans may have expected as they are no longer in the Premier League. Nevertheless, the fact that a young Turkey international is willing to go and help the Leicestershire outfit flourish again without the glitter of the EPL feels propitious.

Romano suggests that Akgun only has a medical to pass and then he will be a Fox; it’s a loan agreement with an option to buy. However, If the 23-year-old features in 25 fixtures, Leicester will have a €10 million obligation to purchase.

Leicester City favourites with bookies for promotion and to lift Championship trophy once again

Leicester City Football Club have won the Championship and been promoted back to Premier League in recent times; they’ve triumphed in that league on seven occasions throughout history. Back in 2014 the Leicestershire side blew opposition away in the English second division following such disappointment at the hands of Watford in the previous term.

In 2013/14, much of what the Blue Army consider the foundation for amazing things to come was established. First came the astonishing Premier League relegation survival of 2014/15, followed by the unthinkable 2015/16 campaign where the Foxes actually lifted the glittering EPL trophy.

After heartache, there may be more silverware this year. The east Midlands team are seemingly the bookmakers’ favourites to be promoted from tier two in 2024. Not only that, the bookies appear to hold a general consensus that LCFC shall be victorious overall in the Championship this season. Enzo Maresca sure is leading the charge with care and effectiveness.
