A young Leicester City star suggests he wants more minutes in first team. Will Foxes boss Enzo Maresca listen to Wanya Marcal-Madivadua? Meanwhile, former LCFC loanee Harry Kane has spoken about a tough spell at King Power Stadium.

Some onlookers believed Marcal was destined for big things in the Championship with Leicester this season. Once he had scored for the senior side against Cardiff City in August, a breakout campaign was firmly expected. However, City head coach Enzo Maresca had other ideas, relegating the Portuguese national to the Under-21s. But the winger is set on returning to the Leicester first team:

"“Obviously, right now, I’m not getting as much game time as I’d like, but I’m happy to be playing with the Under-21s, keep staying sharp and staying fit. Obviously, I’m doing as much as I can for them. Whenever Enzo [Maresca] calls me and I get the call up, hopefully I’m ready.”lcfc.com"

Harry Kane speaks about difficult time with Leicester City

If you weren’t aware, the ex-Tottenham Hotspur striker did actually turn out for the Foxes on a few occasions during the early stages of his career. This was in a time before he was England captain ‘Aitch’. Or ‘Haych’, if you would like to pronounce his ‘H’ nickname incorrectly, as his international teammates embarrassingly did under the influence of Line of Duty.

When Kane was at King Power Stadium, the Three Lions were a long way away. In fact, he was a Leicester loanee prior to making his name at Spurs, naturally. Obviously Tottenham wanted to test the future illustrious player’s metal with the east Midlands team. The Bayern Munich man recently described his LCFC days as “tough“, even though it was only a three month period.

In spite of the Lilywhites supposedly rating the then-19-year-old highly, he was shipped out to Leicestershire in 2013. Kane was often used out of position on the wing; his ideal role being centreforward. He revealed that it was hard to deal with not being chosen to represent Tottenham 10 years ago. Furthermore, he said it was actually ‘difficult to cope’ when not in respective Norwich City or Leicester lineups.
