As a writer, I’m starting to run out of ways to describe what Enzo Maresca and Leicester City Football Club are achieving at the moment. The team just registered their ninth straight league victory, downing a resilient Queens Park Rangers side two to one at Loftus Road Stadium. Goals from Stephy Mavididi and Harry Winks saw the Foxes keep their impressive win streak alive for yet another week. Here are my three standout stars from this weeks action.

The third most impressive player in my obviously very sought after opinion would be Abdul Fatawu. Every time he is on the field it’s apparent he is eager to impress, he always seems to move 100 miles per hour. He had the beat on his fullback all game and looked dangerous no matter which way he went: down the line or cutting inside he was near impossible to take off the ball at times.

I have very high hopes for Fatawu as you can see his gives 100 percent effort all the time. He tracks back and has quite a leap on him for someone who isn’t so tall. I noticed him winning a fair amount of headers in this game and he just has so much promise. I can’t wait to see how high his ceiling can be if he stays under Maresca long enough, it seems City really have a player on their hands.

My second standout is Stephy Mavididi. I did this reluctantly given how I had described him in my notes at times; he seemed off in many ways. He wasn’t linking up with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall very well like he normally does. To be fair, the same could also be said for James Justin who didn’t have his best game either. Mavididi contributed with his goal, I believe a shot deflected from the top of the box.

Despite him seeming off, he still made a huge contribution to the game. It’s amazing that Leicester have players that can be rated sixes and sevens that still make the difference for the team in tight games. Although many opposition fans say so with anger towards us, our squad depth is ridiculous and the quality of our team is too good for this league at times.

Coming in at number one on my impressive players list against QPR is Harry Winks. I will have to admit, I believe my rating on this is somewhat biased. I think I gave him this just because of the cumulative quality performances he’s had this season, and the goal he scored today justifies it despite him maybe not running the game like he normally does. This goal I hope pushes him on to another level.

Winks has been immense all season and I honestly expected the manager to rest him in anticipation of our match with Leeds United on Friday. Having been on four yellow cards, receiving another would have ruled him out for that important clash versus Leeds at the weekend. Despite this pressure the former Tottenham man conducted himself professionally and didn’t allow himself to be booked.

These 4 Leicester stars may seek respective transfers in January. dark. Next

Leicester City Football Club are on quite a roll at the moment. Every win is another record set in the second division of English Football, and it’s something  I’m sure all Foxes fans are thrilled to see, the team is adapting so well to life in the Championship. With all eyes fixed on promotion, the ship that has set sail from the King Power Stadium to take us back to the Premier League looks truly unstoppable. Let us keep trusting in our Italian captain to guide us well. As always, come on you foxes!
