Foxes of Leicester comment as speculation suggests Leicester City are eyeing a midfielder. While a Wilfred Ndidi transfer rumour circulates. Is there a connection?

The Blue Army will definitely want to forget the loss to Leeds United at King Power Stadium on Friday. So we won’t dwell on that one. Hopefully the Foxes revert to winning ways when they travel north to play Middlesbrough on Saturday. Boro are having an uneven campaign so far, currently sitting 12th in the Championship.

However, Michael Carrick’s side are not huge underdogs for the upcoming clash. Middlesbrough have a 31 percent win probability predicted for the Leicester match; Enzo Maresca’s team supposedly have a 42% chance of victory.

Will Leicester City rid themselves of one midfield man and sign another in the New Year?

We will now take a look at two transfer rumours. One of the stories is about a possible incoming transfer at LCFC, while the other concerns a potentially outgoing high profile Fox. First of all, Wilfred Ndidi. Ndidi is an essential piece of Maresca’s Foxes setup, though the Nigeria international isn’t playing the role most would have expected. Previously a typically defensive-minded footballer, the Italian pushed his player forward and made him an attacking asset. Quite the transformation.

Ndidi has been a constant point of speculation in the media. This hearsay about the former Genk star began a few years back. Big six Premier League clubs never emerged as suitors, and Ndidi remained with the east Midlanders. Until now. Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want to acquire the Fox in January.

That eventuality would be bad news for Maresca, which may be why LCFC are apparently shopping for athletes of similar style. Jhon Arias is meant to be on Leicester’s radar. Arias plays for Fluminense in Brazil and is a 26 year old attacking midfielder.
