We all remember the Turk’s little fake pass and turn moves that were so iconic they would get highlight reels made from just those moments on social media during his stay here. I do have to say, one thing that irks me about him is how many corners were scored on us while he was here, but that can’t be just his fault so I won’t hold it against him. When he was healthy and not being frozen out by a scribbling Northern Irish midget, he was one of the first names on our team sheet from basically the moment we signed him. I’m glad Soyuncu went to the team that knocked Rodgers‘ Celtic(hopefully) out of the Champions League group stage.

My number one defender of recent Leicester history is one of only two you could realistically pick. I couldn’t pick both defenders from that season, so I picked the more obvious one. Wes Morgan was nothing short of pivotal to our title winning season. Our fearless leader in a time when so many were under pressure. He scored his share of goals, but his contributions were always measured in other ways.

I will even venture to say he wasn’t the best defender either but he had heart and effort. He had a way about him that other players respected him and wanted to do well for him in the game. Captain Morgan’s teammates all gained a significant lift from his being on the pitch and I fully believe if he wasn’t with us that season we never would have won. There are players I believe are replaceable from that season(looking at you Danny Simpson) but Big Wes was not.
