There is some positive news for the Blue Army to digest ahead of the Leicester City versus Watford clash, which enables Foxes of Leicester to predict a potential LCFC starting XI. Boss Enzo Maresca gave clues during his pre-match press conference at Seagrave. FoL also take a look at other topics the Italian covered, including Maresca’s verdict on recent losses.

OK, there are a few things to discuss side-wise prior to naming our expected Leicester lineup. Firstly, if you were not aware, midfield linchpin Harry Winks is unavailable for the Hornets fixture through suspension. Winks will be a miss for LCFC because he is an influential contemporary Fox. However, Hamza Choudhury will fill the void. Maresca actually gave the unusual confirmation that Choudhury will start in place of the former Tottenham Hotspur man. We don’t often know who is going to begin games instead of absent personnel. Meanwhile there is a triple injury boost for the east Midlanders as Wilfred Ndidi, Dennis Praet and Yunus Akgun return. Callum Doyle remains out. FoL’s guess at the Leicester XI is below:

Mads Hermansen; James Justin, Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard, Ricardo Pereira; Hamza Choudhury; Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Wilfred Ndidi; Stephy Mavididi, Kasey McAteer; Jamie Vardy.

What else did Enzo Maresca talk about at the Leicester City presser before playing Watford?

First of all, Maresca confirmed all injury issues that we ran through above. However, the City gaffer was also quizzed on the progress of two particularly promising young Foxes: Will Alves, along with Sammy Braybrooke. The latter is continuing rehabilitation following a serious injury. While the former is “back” in dual training groups.

Next. Leicester may receive record payout from Everton as legal action begins. dark

Next, the 43-year-old said that his style shall stay the same in spite of losing Winks. Maresca declared they will try to win to atone for consecutive defeats. Read more on the international break, Watford thoughts and Vestergaard here.
