A more positive Leicester result has been predicted by a media outlet we regularly peruse for information, marterial and views on Leicester City Football Club. The Foxes face Watford on Friday (Boxing Day), in a fairly midtable (at present, City's position could nosedive due to the impending points deduction threat) English Football League Championship clash.

Yet no matches in this testing division can be taken for granted. However, the contest is at Leicester's King Power Stadium, which gives the hosts a slight advantage in my opinion. But let's look at a few statistics, facts and history before making our own forecasts. This will be an interesting fixture, as always when you're covering LCFC. Never a dull moment.

Elsewhere in the City sphere, three Foxes have been ruled out of the Hornets meeting. Unfortunately for the East Midlands side, the trio of players are not even involved in full practice at the Seagrave Training ground either, as of yet. I will name the unfit footballers and offer a timeline when applicable, information dependent, on their respective return dates and progress as well. So let's get to it.

Foxes vs Watford outcome predicted

City have beaten the Hertfordshire team in every one of the previous four consecutive clashes. Watford have been victorious on just one occasion in Leicestershire in 14 attempts.

"Watford beat Portsmouth 2-1 on Boxing Day last season but haven't won consecutive Boxing Day matches since a run of six between 1988 and 1994."
BBC Sport

Taking all that into consideration, and the fact that Cifuentes would surely be dismissed if his men lost, I pedict victory. I'll go with a 2-0 scoreline. Over at The72 there is a similar feeling about the upcoming match:

"I do think LCFC will win this fixture on Friday. The Foxes have shown glimpses of the quality team they can be when they are at their best. The Hornets should be happy with a point here.”

Prediction: Leicester City 2-0 Watford... The Hornets have got good results against better sides in recent times, so I think they’re good value for a point here. It could be a finely balanced game where a key moment could win it for either side, but I’ll be going for a 1-1 draw.”

Prediction: Leicester City 1-1 Watford"
Euan Walsh and James Ray

Leicester City will have to win without these three players on Filbert Way on Friday

These injured Foxes are not yet back in combative preparations with teammates: Victor Kristiansen, Harry Souttar and Boubakary Soumare. Manager Marti Cifuentes is yet to offer deadlines.
