Not much is said be to left to resolve in order for Leicester City to complete their hopeful capture of former West Ham United centre forward Michail Antonio. Signing the powerful and direct striker for free by January would be absolutely perfect for the Foxes. Well, at least that is the theory with respect to our writers here on the website. Right now, we are wondering what the latest is on the Jamaica National Team representative coming to LE2?

In the meantime, I have another story to cover concerning the East Midlands side. This one relates two a pair of LCFC players who have fallen down the pecking order at King Power Stadium. The duo appear to be in LCFC head coach Marti Cifuentes' bad books at the moment. And I can probably guess why, too. So who are these two Leicester stars (that label is arguably a reach these days) who are currently out of favour at Leicester, and what is the ex-Queens Park Rangers boss's reasoning?

Two Leicester City players who are not likely to feature in any starting lineups going forward due to poor form and nothing else - one loan may even be cancelled

Julian Carranza has not made the grade in Leicestershire. As a matter of fact, you could argue that he has not even come close. The Argentine's stay with City might actually be cut short:

" If there's a cheap break clause in his loan contract, it would be doubtful that Carranza lasts at City beyond the end of January."

Meanwhile, Wout Faes has slowly slipped away under the tutelage of several Foxes bosses. The Belgium international is unlikely to start even in the absence of other central defenders:

"It certainly does not bode well for Wout Faes that when substituting Jannik Vestergaard, who was involved in a clash in the heads in the first half, Cifuentes opted to drop Oliver Skipp back rather than bring on the Belgian."

Michail Antonio transfer to Leicester City reportedly close

We need Antonio - I'll just put it simply like that! Leicester require all the firepower they can muster - especially if this tremendously worrying points deduction transpires!

Thankfully, according to Jordan Blackwell at Leicester Mercury, all seems to be going smoothly regarding Antonio's prospective acquisition:

"It also strengthens the case for Michail Antonio’s arrival. The positivity with which Cifuentes has spoken about him suggests it’s just a matter of ironing out contract details to get him through the door."
