Leicester City Football Club's latest humiliation transpired at the unlikely destination of Bramall Lane last night. A generally mediocre Sheffield United side, which does contain a few gems, showed us all how a plucky side can make themselves look great on certain evenings. And it certainly helps a team with not much to shout about to come up against an unorganised and petty outfit like the current incarnation of LCFC.

The Blades won so many duels that I was under the impression the Foxes may have actually given up on 'manager' Marti Cifuentes' tenure altogether! Or, to use the annoying footballing parlance, did the Leicester group intentionally 'down tools'?! I am not sure we are at that point yet - though a significant spark was missing again. Commitment can also definitely be questioned. Not to mention that dedication from athletes to our beloved club appears to be at an all-time low! It is sad.

The Blue Army fan base has collectively given up on forecasting the eventual downfall of the former Queens Park Rangers head coach. The man in charge on Filbert Way seems to be able to ride out the Leicestershire storm without any problems. I suspect chairman Khun Top (Aiyawatt srivaddhanaprabha) is struggling to find the funds, or even the power, to justify sacking Cifuentes and hiring another boss, as I have previously claimed.

However, the 43-year-old claims that he is not hiding away from Leicester's woes; and they are many. Instead, he explained how he and the players can turn it around. In addition to that, Cifuentes is looking ahead to the January transfer window.

Marti Cifuentes says he will face the Leicester City music as he discusses potential transfers

After the final whistle, Leicester Mercury asked the gaffer how this mess can be cleared up. He said they must 'keep pushing, and keep training', which felt like hollow platitude at this stage. Although, possible signings were hinted at:

"How to correct mistakes?
MC: “Keep training, keep pushing. We are in a difficult situation in terms of injuries. The window is opening so hopefully we can get the help that we need at the same time.

“There is no hiding on this. It has been constant. For me as a coach as well I need to do better in terms of correcting those mistakes."
