We have two Leicester City-related stories to share with you on this cold but beautifully bright East Midlands morning. First of all, it is a story on one of LCFC's standout players. Unfortunately the word, or expectation, is that this particular baller will be targeted for a transfer in the New Year. And City have been advised to be aware of potential Premier League interest; which can be very tempting for athletes. Significant outfits and otherwise may be on standby.
I for one certainly wouldn't be surprised if these re-emerging claims concerning Abdul Fatawu's future had a grain of truth to them. But what's this site's overall verdict? Meanwhile an ex-Leicester man (he was once a trainee footballer in LE2) has singled out another well-known and exceptional Fox for praise. Just how well has Jordan James done for the King Power side since joining in the eyes of a former professional, born in Leicester? This is somebody who really knows the English Football League.
Praise for star Fox Jordan James via ex-Leicester City man
I have described James as, pretty much, a revelation on Filbert Way this season. It's also not easy to stand out in a badly performing XI.
So the once Birmingham City midfielder has my vote to be signed permanently. Though, what does Guy Branston, who was on City's books but never played a first team match, think of the Welshman?
"Jordan James is having an excellent season on loan at Leicester from Rennes. The Welsh international is scoring goals, he’s got great energy and his work-rate is excellent. "
Foxes hierarchy must braced for Abdul Fatawu advances
Fatawu could have done more this term, there, I said it. Some of his social media activities and statements are suspect too.
Yet the moments of brilliance our 'best player' provides are second to none! He possesses the most talent at Leicester, as I see it.
Therefore poaching is always a worry for the fan base. I can't see the Ghanaian going in January, but here's Lee Hendrie's view:
"You know, as I say, I think that it is going to be wide players that are probably going to be the ones that make that step-up, or players that have made the step-down.Via FLW
"The likes of Fatawu at Leicester. There were links; he's very young, and he probably fits the bill for most Premier League clubs with bags of potential. So you would have to say that he is certainly one that you would add to that equation."
