The contemporary Leicester City roster is almost completely rotten to the core. When subtracting certain brilliant (Jordan James) and helpful (Divine Mukasa) loan players out of the mix, along with not including transitioning Foxes youth starlets, few reliable or likeable stars remain.
This overall detestable squad of so-called professionals recently had the audacity to inform LCFC manager Gary Rowett that they do not hold relegation against the club's awful hierarchy. How gracious and kind of a totally uninspiring and generally deplorable bunch of pseudo-footballers that sentiment is.
If you are confused as to why the City side felt that way, clearly feeling implored to request Gary Rowett inform media of their consensus - join the club! In all seriousness, this view emerged after the miraculous victory versus Blackburn Rovers on Saturday lunchtime.
The absolute audacity of this Leicester City collective is laughable
Leicester won 1-0; if not for the six-point Profit and Sustainability penalty, that result technically would have kept the Leicestershire outfit up.
Wow.
"Leicester City players handed chance to point fingers over relegation – but won't take it"Peculiar Leicestershire Live headline
So that is why this wretched group were compelled to make an insolent declaration through a puppet or mouthpiece in the unfortunate and equally out-of-his-depth LCFC head coach. Such rank entitlement suggests a profound detachment from the sporting ignominy they have authored.
"The Leicester City squad won’t blame the club for their relegation, Gary Rowett has said, despite the players collecting enough points to stay up."Further neutral remarks
To frame their 'forgiveness' toward the board as a virtue is a masterclass in gaslighting a weary fan base that has endured a season of soul-crushing mediocrity. By masquerading as magnanimous arbiters of blame, these players merely highlight and stamp their own vacuity and lack of professional accountability.
At this point, nothing these Leicester players do surprises; the hope is that personnel is vastly different next season - in every way possible! The LE2 faithful can only pray that King Power Stadium is purged of this toxic lethargy before the next campaign commences. A change of ownership wouldn't go amiss either, yet that wish appears futile.
