Welcome to your Leicester City news article on this Monday afternoon. Today we are talking about the very recent outgoing transfers from King Power Stadium. Which ones did the Foxes recruitment department and hierarchy seemingly get right? And which deals, if any, would LCFC hypothetically regret or prefer to renegotiate?

A few exits from Filbert Way over the summer stood out as a good, or even exceptional, business from the Leicestershire side's bosses. But one particular agreement is at the heart of this very piece. Did Leicester actually get one over on, or take advantage of, a close Championship rival in one instance? Was this sale City's most successful of the summer? Let's have a look.

Foxes departures

Before we begin, there is another leaver to inform the Blue Army fan base of, incase they missed it over the busy weekend. On Saturday it was confirmed that Jake Donohue, a Foxes youth goalkeeper, has been loaned to Quorn FC.

Donohue will be with the Southern Football League Premier Central Division club only for a month, as per lcfc.com; league approval remains required. The 19 year old stopper has been on the books for eight years.

Did Leicester City get one over on Championship rivals with transfer?

I think City made a few excellent and vital transactions in the previous window. James Justin to Leeds United for what could become £10million is definitely solid. Removing Conor Coady's influence and wages was ideal.

Allowing Wilfred Ndidi, reputedly the club's highest earner, to go was the right move too. Seeing 'bad apple' Bilal El Khannouss switch sides wasn't as annoying as it could have been! While a decent price appears to have been obtained for Mads Hermansen.

Yet the £12m for Kasey McAteer, a rather unproven but promising winger, may be the coup. That is pure profit. Not to mention, from what I read, McAteer is struggling at Ipswich Town in the C'ship:

"Kasey McAteer is yet to endear himself to Ipswich Town fans - Leicester City may have won transfer agreement early on... Therefore, it was a major surprise, not only to see Ipswich initially express their interest in the eight-cap international's services, but the fact they agreed to part with a reported £12m for a player who, whilst showing glimpses of talent, hasn't exactly justified such a price-tag."
