Regardless of how talented and productive a footballer is - they are never bigger than the club. Never! Don't let anyone tell you they are, because they are not. I don't care if you are a cross between Diego Maradona, Lionel Messi, Pele, George Best and Ronaldo. And Leicester City supporters are just the same as any significant fan base's in England when it comes to protecting our team or dismissing any moronic athletes in our midst.
For example, it was difficult for the Blue Army to part ways with the quality and productivity of elite winger Riyad Mahrez when he left. Mahrez, along with Jamie Vardy and N'golo Kante in particular, massively contributed to LCFC's incredible 2016 Premier League title-win. We didn't want to see the Algeria international leave because he was immense and had a place in oour hearts.
Though Mahrez did everything he possibly could to tarnish his legacy. From forcing a move to criticising the outfit, then under the watch of the late, legendary Khun Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. Khun Vichai wouldn't allow bigger, richer sides to take his asset for a pittance, and so held out for the right price for the contracted player.
While that was awkward, the lesser gifted Wesley Fofana's exit was easier to take but just as hard to stomach. This was due to even less respect being paid: refusing to train and play, and going A.W.O.L like Mahrez etcetera. Yet the France National Team representative didn't achieve what Mahrez did, wasn't a superstar and behaved pathetically at King Power Stadium. Nevertheless, both can be described as 'big babies'!
Disrespectful Leicester City loanee Bilal El Khannouss has disrespected the Foxes once again
El Khannouss is another entry on the fairly talented and absolutely spoiled charts. He's not at No.1 right now - but I predict the troublesome (and overrated, by himself) playmaker to cause trouble at any club he arrives at.
The Moroccan was previously harsh in his descriptions of wishing to evade Leicestershire; after refusing to feature for the Foxes. He's now compounded that obvious and unnecessary contempt. He even belittled his adopted club, Stuttgart:
"We reached an agreement with Stuttgart. They were always there,” he added.El Khannouss, via Sport Witness
“And I’m satisfied, even though, to be honest, it wasn’t easy this summer. It was difficult to find a way out of Leicester; they didn’t make it easy for me. What I especially didn’t understand was why it didn’t work out despite my release clause."
