Enzo Maresca has not forgotten about Leicester City. However, he must pay £35m to sign another Fox for his new club Chelsea.
After securing promotion back to the Premier League, former Leicester City fan favourite Enzo Maresca accepted a new opportunity to manage Chelsea, replacing Mauricio Pochettino in the summer.
In fairness, he has had a good start to life at Stamford Bridge, which will not surprise any Leicester fan. The Blues are back in the Premier League top four under his tutelage and they are finally playing good football with their luxurious squad.
Well, after bringing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall with him to the English capital, Enzo Maresca now has his eyes on another Leicester player. However, he must pay £35m to sign him.

According to a report from journalist Ben Jacobs, Leicester City has no plan to sell Mads Hermansen in mid-season, despite Enzo Maresca wishing to sign him for Chelsea. In fact, a minimum £35m bid would be required for the Foxes to even open their mouths.
In his own words, Jacobs said: "Leicester have no plans to lose Mads Hermansen mid-season. It would likely take £35m+ to change that."
Jacobs also claimed that despite his frustrating form, there is still hope from Chelsea officials for Robert Sanchez. Therefore, Chelsea is in no immediate rush to sign a new goalkeeper.
Nevertheless, the links between Chelsea and Mads Hermansen are not likely go away before the January transfer window. After all, Maresca is a known fan of Hermansen and given Leicester will battle relegation this season, their best assets will be linked to other clubs.
However, The Foxes are equally in no rush to sell their best players. Even if they risk losing them in the summer, the long-term reward of avoiding relegation outweighs the immediate financial reward of selling them in January.
Mads Hermansen has begun the 2024/25 season excellently. He is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League and attracting the interest of some legendary Premier League names.
