An ex-Leicester City player, who still does punditry concerning the East Midlanders, has been speaking bluntly about LCFC. The retired winger heavily criticised the Foxes ownership for the current turmoil as well as the managerial situation on Filbert Way. And rightly so!
In addition to looking at that story, we cover a City transfer rumour. The King Power team are said to be linked with a former England star. The attacking midfielder in question has been connected with Leicester on a few previous occasions. I'm sure you can guess just who it is we are referring to because he was also prominent at Liverpool.
Ex-Fox justified in criticism of LCFC ownership
Matt Piper definitely tells it how it is, from my limited experience listening to or reading what he has to say about the Foxes. He also appears to have Leicester's best interests at heart, as do Foxes of Leicester.
The 43-year-old recently talked about how the club is being ran. Or, more precisely, how awful it is for the Blue Army fan base to watch the dysfunctional management quest. Piper hinted at the organisation's desperation and indicated that the awkward manager search had proven supporters' concerns. He's also not impressed with the current crop of contenders for City's crown.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Leicester City?
Will Oxlade-Chamberlain come back to England? Possibly; his time in Turkey seems to be over. And he is reportedly in England at present; that stay could be injury-related, again.
"According to Haber Turk, Leicester City are keen on bringing Besiktas midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to the King Power and his current employers are happy to offload him this summer."Football Fancast
You can probably tell by my tone there that I am unconvinced over 'Ox' for several reasons. Chiefly among the drawbacks would be his age and fitness record. Besiktas certainly feel keen to offload the once Reds and Three Lions standout.
However, signing someone of that previous standing can be a score with respect to shirts sales, merchandise and the like. I suspect wages may ruin any prospective agreement. His current quality is now questionable too.
