The 2025 summer transfer window is now inactive, having shut on September 1. The fallout is still being pawed over and assessed as stock is taken. The international break from domestic football offered an opportunity for Premier League and Championship managers to go back to the drawing board and plan with finalised squads. That is, until January 2026 rolls around and the chance to strengthen in the market, or lose vital personnel, comes again.

City managed to get rid of a lot of overpaid players who weren't really helping our cause whatsoever. Conor Coady and James Justin certainly come to mind in that respect. Although LCFC also failed to offload a few unimportant and potentially valuable Foxes to rival English teams. Yet the East Midlanders can still sell and loan to one or two Saudi Arabian and European sides.

However, it is a former Fox who has been having his say since leaving King Power Stadium and joining a top flight team. One we mentioned earlier on in the piece. And this particular ex-Leicester star claims that 'a weight has been taken off his shoulders' since he exited Filbert Way. Was this a shot taken at the Leicestershire outfit? Or is the one-time England international just content that his lucrative switch was completed?

Ex-Leicester City star says weight off his shoulders since leaving Foxes

You can probably guess from the beginning of this article that I'm not a Justin fan. He was great at first but nosedived greatly over the last few campaigns. He ended up a liability in the Leicester defence.

While he feels that a weight has been lifted - so does much of the City faithful! That especially applies considering Justin still commanded good money.

"It's been a while since I've known of the interest but obviously I was still a Leicester player so I had to give my all for Leicester whilst I was there and that's something obviously that you can expect from me when I put on a Leeds shirt, to give my all when I am on the pitch.

"For it to have finally happened has taken a weight off my shoulders for sure"

I don't think his statement above was a jab at the Foxes. More relief due to the possibility of revitalising his career.
