There has been a recent spate of crimes against footballing history. And it stinks!

Leicester City's lore, to be precise, has been assaulted by those who are either uninformed, unintelligent, or simply on the wind-up. Only true ostriches could possibly believe, let alone run with, these pedestrian narratives.

Listen carefully: comparisons to City's 2015/16 English top flight title-winning season must stop immediately! It is getting embarrassing now.

No event in the Premier League era, cumulative nor instantaneous, could or will ever compare to that miraculous triumph exactly a decade ago. Stars aligned, Steve Walsh Snr did this thing, Claudio Ranieri joined and all that jazz, creating a singular moment of sporting perfection that remains totally untouchable.

So for delusional pundits, experts and supporters to continuously connect their club's mediocre achievements to LCFC's miracle is an absolute joke. It is ridiculous and truly stupefying to witness such persistent attempts at intellectual dishonesty.

Only recently, this very outlet and yours truly had to bat away moronic sporting suggestions tenuously connected to the King Power side via charlatans. Tell it how it is!

Leicester City fans must ignore deluded envy

First of all, assertions that Tottenham Hotspur's potential relegation is on par with City's famous accomplishment are laughably wide of the mark. Spurs are presently similarly awful though.

Furthermore, the notion that Hearts' failed run at the Scottish Premiership would be akin to City is utterly absurd. The Jam Tarts had a great season, but that eventuality wouldn't have matched LCFC.

The best one was talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook declaring Bournemouth hypothetically qualifying for the Champions League as amazing and momentous as that incredible moment ten years ago. Hilarious!

"Kevin Phillips believes that if Hull City win promotion to the Premier League at Wembley on Saturday, it would be an achievement to rank alongside Leicester City winning the Premier League."
Hull Daily Mail

Now, ex-striker Kevin Phillips is comedically having a go too, suggesting Hull City's potential PL promotion carries a similar weight to Leicester's. He should know better, considering he coached and played in Leicestershire. Such grandstanding is a pathetic insult to the memory of an impossible campaign cherished the world over - that simply cannot be replicated by any modern side.
