Things are now said to be moving rapidly in the Leicester City sphere now that the New Year is upon us. The East Midlands club are apparently taking advantage of the reopened transfer window. This winter, several overrated, overpaid, unneeded and certainly unwanted Foxes could genuinely leave King Power Stadium.
In addition to that, City are reportedly making enquiries in order to sign another loan player or two. Not to mention that free signings are definitely on the agenda, if reporting on the subject is accurate. Two Leicester stories caught the eye on Tuesday morning; which LCFC's Blue Army fan base will want to be informed of and discuss.
First of all, Leicester centre back and out of favour Belgium international Wout Faes is on the chopping board. Though the former Anderlecht, Heerenveen, Excelsior, Oostende and Reims man (many of those sides were adopted, temporary homes of his) does have a serious admirer.
Although, the same cannot be said of one of the 27-year-old's teammates in LE2. It appears that the same outfit do not now want another so-called wantaway athlete to join. What's the score here?
Wout Faes' transfer is a go with the defender already supposedly training at AS Monaco avec his soon-to-be colleagues
I am not sure about this claim, as there would surely be legal implications and potentially work permit questions. Yet Faes is purportedly in the South of France practicing with the Red and Whites.
C'est fait pour Wout Faes : selon nos informations, le défenseur belge s'est engagé avec l'AS Monaco... et s'entraine déjà avec le groupe ce matin ! #ASM @Nice_Matin

Hmm. Regardless, City supporters will generally be pleased to have him off the books; along with funds for a possible replacement.
Meanwhile Boubakary Soumare was rejected by the same club
Boubakary Soumare was supposed to be on his way to Côte d'Azur (the French Riviera)
as well. Lucky guys! Although, it appears the Frenchman won't be in the Casino de Monte-Carlo spending that unbelievable £80,000-per-week he took home on Filbert Way just yet:
🚨 AS Monaco's interest in #Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumaré has cooled and they are now looking at other options.
