Forget Ruud van Nistelrooy's situation - even Leicester's coaches are currently being targeted. That's right, we have zero clarity at LCFC. According to WalesOnline, a highly rated young Leicester City coach is a wanted man. And it is Welsh team Cardiff City who seek to poach the Foxes staff member. And the Bluebirds don't wish for the person in question to merely coach an aspect of the squad. No, they would like to install him as manager. So, what's the story with the in demand Brian Barry-Murphy? And will this update affect van Nistelrooy's precarious position as the current City boss?

Ruud van Nistelrooy's role as Leicester City head coach severely under threat

The only way that the Dutchman could even barely hang on to his job at King Power Stadium, is if LCFC seemingly have no funds to sack or appoint a new gaffer. Does he deserve to keep his place? Not really.

I'm not sure van Nistelrooy did too much wrong, however, and his roster was inefficient. Though he did make the odd mistake and stubborn decision nevertheless. In general, he just doesn't seem a good fit on Filbert Way.

Since Liam Rosenior and Lee Carsley both signed new respective contracts with Strasbourg and England Under-21s, the odds have changed with regard to City's next potential manager. In addition to Rosenior and Carsley, Russell Martin joined Rangers, essentially ruling the former Southampton boss out.

Gary O'Neil has risen up to fifth in this bookmakers' line-up. The ex-Wolverhampton Wandsworth gaffer is behind Rosenior, strangely. While Michael Carrick, Sean Dyche and Danny Role are said to be the ascending contenders.

Leicester City coach Brian Barry-Murphy wanted by Cardiff City

Barry-Murphy is a name you may have heard mentioned positively with relation to coaching if you are very up-to-date with LCFC business. Probably because of his standing, Leicester bosses are yet to sanction his exit.

The Bluebirds have considered Aaron Ramsey, Ian Evatt Des Buckingham and Nathan Jones as well. Barry-Murphy previously worked on Pep Guardiola's staff.
