Changes to Leicester City head coach Steve Cooper's starting lineup could be imminent, that's if reports doing the rounds are to be believed. Midfield is the department in question, presently. You may be already aware that a rather forgotten but talented midfielder has made a return to the side. And Boubakary Soumare's comeback against Manchester United in the English Football League Cup and at Ipswich Town were both fairly successful. Now the 25-year-old might perhaps be set for a continuing and major role in the XI. Let's examine the Welshman's comments and make our own minds up on the matter.

While Cooper can give, he can also take away. Another LCFC player will naturally be sacrificed in order to incorporate the Frenchman. But which Leicester star is likely to dropped by the former Nottingham Forest manager? And is the hypothetical switch in the side a generally positive one in our view? In addition to looking at that story, we take a glance at another Foxes matter at hand. A defender is involved in this instance. If we trust some Leicester Mercury journalists' opinions, one centre back will be taken out of the team as well. So who is the other Fox expected to be omitted from Cooper's starting group?

Boubakary Soumare's re-emergence at Leicester City

Soumare has the pedigree of being a one-time member of the starlet-packed Paris Saint-Germain youth set-up. Although things have never quite worked out in England for the Noisy-le-Sec, France-born footballer.

While he has much ability, of course, and can positively affect a game, Soumare could be another player that just doesn't make it in the Premier League. Or, even, one that isn't really suited to the world's best division.

Nevertheless, if Steve Cooper has anything to do with it, there will be a French renaissance at King Power Stadium. Excuse my humour. But the man in charge on Filbert Way is clearly an admirer of Soumare.

Evidently, the latter is winning over some of the Blue Army with his recent displays too. So, are we going to see the ex-Lille man more regularly? Probably; Cooper appears keen going forward:

"It was a big impact. It’s coming. Maybe the less said the better really. We see what he [Soumare] has. It’s good that he showed it this week. I’m pleased for him, he deserves it."

Three LCFC Live writers predict alteration in Foxes defence

That's right. Someone else is at risk of rotation, or being outright dropped. The forecast is that Jannik Vestergaard may be preferred to Caleb Okoli at the back:

"With Vestergaard returning, I feel like he calms Faes down.

I also feel that Vestergaard adds a bit more in terms of his passing and he compliments Faes.

... therefore pointing towards a Vestergaard start."
